Meet Our Donors
Dr. Morris is building a brighter tomorrow…today
Dr. Tim Morris is passionate about solving hunger. In addition to supporting the Food Bank's work financially, he gives his time at Mobile Pantry distributions, volunteers at our Geneva center, and educates others about hunger.
As a professor of philosophy at North Central College in Naperville, a position he held for nearly four decades, Dr. Morris and another professor teamed up to instruct students on the ethics and economics of food and water. He's knowledgeable about food insecurity issues in the U.S. and around the world.
Because he understands the multifaceted causes and effects of hunger, Dr. Morris knows it's a problem that will not be completely solved in his lifetime. That's why he made the decision to leave a portion of his estate to Northern Illinois Food Bank.
Dr. Morris' legacy gift will help fill empty plates for many years to come. He says his parents, who also made a planned gift to help solve hunger, instilled their philanthropic values in him. He's excited to enable those values to live on through his estate donation.
"We have a duty to help others," he says. "We need to ask, ‘What can we all do to help?'"
Tomorrow's Harvest members like Dr. Morris are ensuring that as long as there are people in our community at risk of missing meals, Northern Illinois Food Bank will be able to connect them with the nutritious groceries they need to thrive.
Our sincere thanks go out to Dr. Morris for his commitment to solving hunger across Northern Illinois. Your generosity is changing lives for the better — today and tomorrow!
