Esther Ruth (Myrum) Homeck

Esther Ruth (Myrum) Homeck was a woman who lived life to its fullest. She enjoyed 31 years of marriage with her husband Harry; together they traveled extensively (particularly enjoying trips to Norway and Sweden), participated in a wide variety of hobbies such as square dancing, and enjoyed discussing politics.

Later in life, Esther continued to be involved at her church and sang in the Swedish Glee Club. She lived her life surrounded by an abundance of dear friends and family, and even though she was never blessed with children of her own, she was dearly loved by three generations of nearly 70 nieces and nephews.

Esther also chose to share her abundance with others in the form of a legacy gift to Northern Illinois Food Bank. This gift is not only a testament to her faith, but a blessing for the neighbors served by the Food Bank, and we are grateful to Esther for her caring spirit and generosity!
